Casual OOTD

Hello, quick post as I had some new stuff from New Look!
I love a good pair of harem trousers, they are so comfy, and I decided to wear them with this sleeveless black peplum top, both items from New Look.
The shoes... They are the comfiest!! They were gifted by Just Fab and I have been wearing them all summer.
Pink lipstick is from Maybelline NY (160- Infinity Fucshia) a very pretty fuchsia tone that lasts for hours I can't recommend it enough.
What item of clothing you tend to choose when you are going for a more casual look?

Lots of love,
Patty xoxo

Same size, different shape challenge

Hi ladies,
I have joined the challenge 'Same size, different shape' organised by the lovely Toni from 'The left of perfect'.
This challenge presents you with the idea that people using the same size can actually look very different as we not all have the same shape, you can be taller, smaller, pear shape, hour glass, apple shape...
In my case, I am an hourglass shape or that I've been told, 5'2 and a size UK20 so I am in the shorter side.
This week look was 'skinny jeans' which is one of my favourite pieces but also one of the most difficult to find that fits me well as my thighs are quite big.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures it was very sunny and they were taken from my iphone but here I am wearing my skinny jeans and my polka dot shirt from the New Look Inspire range from the past season so sorry they're not available online anymore.

The glasses were one of my first buys from Depop... I love them!
Please have a look below at the other beautiful ladies participating in this challenge!

The denim dress of my dreams

Hi ladies,
I hope you all had a fabulous bank holiday weekend.
I put some stuff for sale in ebay trying to make some money and what did I do next? Browse for a new dress!!
I had bought a denim acid wash dress from asos earlier this year and even I do like it it wasnt really a denim dress more like a thick jersey denim looking if you know what a mean.
My new dress at the bargain price of £11.99 arrived (£2.79 P&P) arrived and it's perfect!
I really recommend you to check this ebay seller 'holidaysuitcase' as they have some cool summer dresses at bargain prices. This denim dress is available up to size uk30 and i would recommend if you are busty like me to go for a size bigger than your normal.

I love that is has sleeves and buttons all the way down!
What do you think? Are you into denim this Spring/Summer?
Hola chicas,

crazy cat lady in action

OOTD ft my inner Pink Lady

Hello lovelies,
just a quick post with yesterday's outfit as I loved it and felt so comfortable wearing it.
Forgive me for the quality of the pics as they were taken with my phone.
I wore my hardly used wet/leather look skirt from Yours (last season) this T-shirt I could not resist buying from New Look Inspire at £7.99 ( I actually bought another one so I got 2 tees for £12 bargain!) and when I went out I added my new pink PU jacket from Simply Be which luckily I bought much cheaper. My only advice for the jacket is size down for a more fitted look, I wish I had the 18 instead of the 20...never mind.
I plaited my fringe and I felt so cool hahaha. Shoes are just a pair of cheap flats fro Dorothy Perkins.
So there you go, a Tuesday rock chick/ pink lady OOTD.

Taking shape fitting room post

Happy (what it feels like Monday) Tuesday!
I had a very busy Easter weekend and I have eaten far too much chocolate so tonight I am going to hit the gym!
On Good Friday, I decided on a road trip to Leamington Spa to visit my closest Taking Shape store, I had a £10 voucher from the Capturing the Curve event organised by the ever so glamorous Betty Pamper so I had to use it!
To be honest, I wasn't sure about this store, I visited the website and I couldn't see anything that catch my attention but I have read posts from other bloggers and I thought I have a voucher I may as well use it.
The truth is that I thought it was going to be a bit old-fashioned for me.
Anyway, I browse the rails and I grabbed a few things I liked, I could tell straight away it wasn't cheap and the fabrics felt really nice.
While I was doing this, the shop assistants were so lovely recommending stuff and helping me take the pile of clothes to a fitting room, so there was no way back I had to try it on!
I have put some pictures below of all the stuff I tried, everything fit quite well and most of the dresses were really flattering (really!!) to my shape, if only they were a bit too long (but it's an Australian brand and I am only 5'2 tall so I bet the average Australian woman is taller than me).
I have added as many links as possible.
They also had a nice sale going on, some reduced items and 20% of full price stuff, plus the necklaces which are A-MAZING and were buy one get one half price and most of them reduced to £5!.
Their size range goes from size UK14 to 26 but I will say the sizing is in the generous/big side.

The nice shop facade

I bought this dress, I loved the colours and shape, It was on the sale at £29. You can buy the Purple Reign dress here.

Napa dress - £45

Lexa Dress - £45

Can't find this one online but I really love the colours and shape, and it has a pocket!

Bella Vista trousers £29

Tortoise trousers £39 - I bought those ones!

I loved this one on the hanger not so sure on me as my skin colour clashed a bit

Some of the amazing necklaces!
And there are a couple of more things that were not available on my size but I am very tempted to order online as there is free UK next day delivery with no minimum spend and one of the dresses is reduced to £19!

A lady was trying the last one they had in the shop and is really eye catching I love the fringe detail.

So what do you think, will you give Taking Shape a go?
This post has not been sponsored and I paid for my items but I am really happy with the clothes and the lovely shop staff so I will definitely will keep an eye in this new brand in the UK (they have been going forever in Australia). Ahh I also got some freebies: a cute nail set purse and a nail file in a little case.

Evans I am back!

Hello dolls,
I hope you are enjoying the Easter break and Easter Sunday, all the shops were closed in my town I didn't expect that but a bit of peace and quiet was nice for once.
I choose the title 'Evans I am back!' because it was long time ago when I last bought something from Evans
I have been always keeping an eye on their website and collections but nothing had catch my eye until they introduced the Cut for Evans Collection (watch the video and browse a few things left on the sale).
I always loved their shoes, the leather ones are really comfy and very good value in the sale.
Anyway, back to the Cut Collection, there was a lot of buzz when the collection first came out and lots of bloggers wrote reviews and went to the Marble Arch store event and I have to say when I first saw the pictures I was really impressed.
So, after the pictures I went to the website and even though there were a few things I loved like the peg trousers, the skirt and the blouse I thought the price was a bit too high so I left it like that, no order from me, I though I can always snap one in Ebay if I really regret it.
Then came the sale and I couldn't stop myself, I bought the abstract patterned skirt and the trousers and I passed on the same patterned shirt (I think my size was sold out) and I really wish I had it but never mind.
I bought both in size 20 and the sizing is actually different in my opinion from the trousers to the skirt, I could size down in the skirt but probably size up in the trousers the waist is only half elasticated so it's not like the skirt which has a full elasticated waist.
Once they arrived, I opened the parcel and I loved the colours!! The weather wasn't great so I thought I wait till we get some sun but the real reason which I waited (instead of wearing them the next day I got them) was that I didn't know how to match those trousers and skirt with a top.
At the end, I matched the trousers with a New Look Inspire blouse that I grabbed at the Northampton clothes swap organised by the lovely Elena from Frivolous Mrs D and it belonged to the also lovely Becky from Does my blog make me look fat.
So what do you think, do you like my match with a pink blouse? I will do another post with the skirt soon.

Pamper my curves!

Hello again, post time!
I was lucky to snap one of the tickets for the Pamper your Curves event in Manchester on the 29th of March. I am so glad I did because I had a fantastic time with Betty Pamper and her team and all the ladies who attended.
When we got there Betty introduced herself to the group and explain why she thought of organising the event and how blogging has changed her life. She is such a strong woman and her words were so great that she sure passed her confidence into the rest ready for the Photoshoot.
The venue was great and very private. While waiting for my hair and make up by Lily Von Pink,I was able to enjoy a nice burger.
Then, just before I had my picture taken Becky from The ramblings of Mrs Bebe, follow her blog if you not doing it yet, talked about her experience on being a plus size woman and dealing with mental health issues, she is a truly inspiring lady...
All in all it was a great day and I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures, all the girls look amazing!
Below there is a little taster of the day and how stunning everybody looked!

Polka dot mania

Hello lovelies,
I hope you had a fab weekend, mine was fabulous! I was in Manchester in the Pamper Your Curves event that Betty Pamper organised and it was fantastic, I had my hair and make up done by her amazing team and then Betty's husband took some pictures (fingers crossed they turned up ok because as you can see below I am not the most photogenic person). Ah I must not forget to say that it was lovely to see all the beautiful ladies and chat and listen to the always inspirations Becky (read her blog The Ramblings of Mrs Bebe here).
My outfit is very simple, I've got this dress in Primark for a tenner (yay bargain) and it is available up to a size UK20 which will fit up to a size 24 me thinks as it is very swingy style.
Cardi is a basic one from Forever 21, leggings from M&S and my good old pumps.
Are you as crazy as me about everything with dots? I also love my little pale rose tiara from Primark too.
Hola guapis,

Primark Sportwear review

as some of you may know I joined the gym on the 2nd of February and so far so good.
I needed to buy some sports wear stuff and as I wasn't sure of my willpower I basically went for the cheapest options which are Sports Direct and to my surprise Primark.
You all know about the bargains you can find at Sports Direct (online and instore) and I did buy a really cool swimsuit for when I use the pool at the gym.
Anyway, about Primark, they now have a sports wear section! yay so the last time I visited one (in Manchester) I bought a pair of leggings (long leg ones) in size UK20 and they fit amazing and at £6 they are really worth it. I have washed them a few times now and they are staying in a decent condition compare to their nomal £3 leggings that break quite easily.
I also bought the top I'm showing you below and it's really comfy and true to size, it comes with a little bra section but I use my sports bra from Debenhams (38 E) underneath as I need something really supportive.

So what do you think, did you know Primark had a sport range?
Finally, myself in action playing squash with my boyfriend.

Bare Face with Bare Minerals

Hello my lovelies,
just a quick post to say that I finally tried the Bare Minerals foundation, thanks to the Cheltenham Boots lady that so kindly gave me a sample and tried on me to find out what shade I was (I am fair by the way) and I have to say that I loved it and I am planning to save up to get hold of one of their packs (price £50 worth £121) which includes the brushes, a primer, the foundation and other stuff you need:
- bareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation Medium 2g
- bareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation Medium Beige 2g
- bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Finishing Powder 2g
- bareMinerals Warmth All-Over Face Color 1.5g
- bareMinerals Full Flawless Face Brush
- bareMinerals Flawless Application Face Brush
- bareMinerals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush
- bareMinerals Prime Time Foundation Primer 15ml
- bareMinerals How-To DVD shows you how to Swirl, Tap, Buff® your way back to the skin you were born with.

When you visit their website for the 1st time and enter your email you'll get a 10% code emailed to you, unfortunately 'the get started kit' it's out of stock at the moment but it should be still available at a Bare Minerals counter near you.
You may think this post it's a bit lame and you knew all about it already, but I am not a make up guru, I don't buy lots and lots of make up because I hardly use it, I normally put some concealer under my eyes a bit of gloss and I am out.
Now that I am going to the gym a lot, a natural look is a must, but my face started to develop some kind of blemishes ( I think it's all about reaching the 30's, it's all down hill you know!) that after trying the mineral foundation I am really pleased with the results and I will be buying it!
I have posted below a before and after pics (taken within 2 minutes of each other) no filters, same light (I was sitting in the same spot) so I think the difference is clear and so easy to apply.
Have you tried any mineral foundation before? What do you think of the results?

OOTD: the 99p dress

thanks to Social Media, I was looking at Facebook at the right moment, I managed to grab one of the 99p dresses from Yours Clothing!
It is a bit big and super long on me but I think with my sewing skills I can sort it out.
Did you manage to get any of the 99p?
Funny enough, I thought they were dresses from last season hence the price but went to Manchester's Yours Clothing store and there were the dresses, retailing at £30!!
